Vivo and Jumia have partnered to unveil the Y30 in the Kenyan market, this comes a few weeks after the smartphone maker introduced yet another handset – Y19 in Kenya featuring some interesting features such as dual selfie cameras and an AMOLED screen. Unlike the previous launch, Vivo Y30 is strictly going to retail via Jumia Kenya which is one of the leading online retailers in Africa.

While Vivo smartphone looks to increase its presence in the country, Jumia has over years become one of the most preferred online retailers in the country having made commendable deliveries since it’s inception. There are several exciting features that users can expect on Vivo’s latest device like impressive photography specs as well as a unique design for the price.

Speaking on the partnership, Vivo Kenya CEO Mr. Arthur Xian, said the move would bring a wide range of choices to Kenyans to enjoy a range of products at an affordable price. Xian further said the company was seeking to offer a variety of high-quality options when it comes to handsets and that Jumia was perfectly placed to fulfill their demands in Kenya.

Kenya has become a lucrative market for handsets with established brands such as Realme and OPPO setting shop in the country. With an expected increase of smartphone penetration in the country with the likes of Safaricom unveiling Neon Ray Pro on credit for Ksh.20 a day, Jumia is set to achieve its vision of driving digital inclusion in Africa from the partnership.
