KCB Bank customers can now redeem their simba loyalty points on Glovo and Jumia

Kenya commercial bank customers can now use their Simba loyalty points to pay for delivery or shopping costs via Glovo and Jumia Kenya. This comes after Kenya’s largest financial institution forged a partnership with Jumia Kenya and Glovo, allowing customers to redeem their loyalty points for as low as Ksh. 250.

This comes as Kenyans continue to embrace cashless payments during these difficult times. Safaricom was the first company to allow customers to redeem their loyalty points for real cash payments in various outlets. The Telco’s customers can as of today use their points to pay for shopping in supermarkets, purchase KPLC tokens and even pay for internal flight tickets on Jambojet.

Speaking on the development, KCB’s marketing and communications manager Angela Mwirigi said the redemption for vouchers was one of the lender’s initiative to ensure customers safety as they shop online and have their goods delivered straight to the doorsteps.

Angela further stated that online shopping platforms such as Jumia and Glovo were synonymous in the sector within the country and therefore the importance of the collaboration. She also indicated KCB’s quest to establish more partnerships with other platforms as a means of adding value to their customers.

Other companies utilizing KCB’s Simba loyalty points include Chandarana Supermarkets and Text Book Centre making it easier for all customers to redeem their points for various rewards.

How to use Simba Loyalty points on Jumia and Glovo

  • KCB customers will need to login to the Simba Points website using their mobile number and secret Simba Points PIN
  • Then select the gift vouchers page
  • Followed by redeem points,
  • Tap on get a voucher which can then be used to offset the cost of their shopping on their preferred online store.

To be enrolled into the KCB Simba loyalty program, customers can dial *522#, on their phones, then Select My Account and follow the prompts. Full details can be found on this link
